Do I need to use the app, the Trello board and the workbook?
No. They’re different ways of holding the same system. Use whichever suits how you think, use them together, or dip in and out as you need to. You don’t need to duplicate your information across all three.
Where is my information stored, and can anyone at By Design see it?
On your own device, not on a By Design server. Your record isn’t sitting in a cloud database somewhere, and nobody at By Design can see it.
What does BETA mean, and why is the app free for the first 200?
The app is fully usable today, but still evolving. The current version is a web app you install from your browser onto your computer or phone, rather than a Store download; native Apple App Store and Google Play versions are in development. Founding members get the app included free and keep their $67 price for life as it grows. After the first 200, the standard price is $127.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Add it to your phone’s home screen and it works like an app. For now it doesn’t sync between devices, so we recommend starting out on one device. A backup can always be restored onto any device later.
What happens if I lose my device or clear my browser data?
Because everything is stored locally, backups matter. The app reminds you to create an encrypted backup regularly, makes them automatically on desktop, and you can restore a backup onto any device.
